Base Currency

0 13

Base Currency : The currency in which an issuer or a trader maintains its book of accounts. In the FX market, the U.S. dollar is normally the base currency for quoting purposes. This means that quotes are expressed as a unit of $1 USD per the other currency quoted in the pair.

The primary exceptions to this rule are the Australian dollar, the British pound, and the euro.
